Flashback (Clearly Not) Friday: Get Writing, Damn It!

Seriously, who decides to create a blog and then never write in it? Because, that's just stupid.

I have to write MORE words...?!

Okay, clearly I'm not on here as much as I'd like. But there are a few reasons for this:

One is that I'm currently being SUPER CONSTRUCTIVE and writing articles for Fantasy Faction ahead of time. (That's right. Mister Last Minute is gone. Mister Holy Crap I'm Getting Organised is his replacement.)

Two is that I'm doing One because my manuscript for War of Shadows/The Silver City/Whateveritwillbecalled is currently with lovely editor Bothersome Words for a full assessment and I envisage quite a bit of work ahead when it comes back.

Three is that I'm trying to write other fictional things.

No, really.

(Really!)

Anyway, until this sad/great situation is rectified, I thought I might upload a few old articles for fun.

While to my horror I've just discovered the vast majority published at The Punch in Australia are no longer available as the site folded a few months ago *insert emoticon of stunned panic here*, there are a couple of others up that I figured might be relevant to anybody who happens across this way.

Hopefully you'll find these amusing and/or useful. This was one of the first pieces I had published online, for the excellent Crikey site in Australia. It's about writing and why you shouldn't procrastinate from doing it any longer.*

(*unless you have three excellent reasons, as above).
